Have you ever been stuck wondering what on Earth you should do for a date that’s fun yet affordable? Whether it’s with your significant other, BFFs or siblings – the most difficult job may be in the dilemma of what you should do together.
Luckily, I’ve gathered some of my favourite date/hang-out spots to hopefully give you some inspiration!
♡ Picnic at the Park ♡
Now, who wouldn’t love a sweet little picnic at the park? Surrounded by the dreamy scenery, all your favourite foods packed in a basket and of course, sharing it with your loved one(s).
Whether it’s a romantic date, friendly hang-out or a family get-together; a picnic at the park will surely be unforgettable!
Whether you just like basking under the sun or getting physical with some sports activities, make sure to start packing those sandwiches for a beautiful day out.
♡ Bike Riding Together ♡
One of my personal favourite activities to do of all time is bike riding! There is just something so enamouring about a peaceful ride through the neighbourhood, the beach, the park or even the city.
It’s a moment in time that seems so surreal and enjoyable. Passing the beautiful scenery at full speed or calmly pedalling your way through is an awesome activity to share with your loved one(s).
There’s nothing that compares to the cool wind blowing through your hair as you make your way across town.
♡ Movie Night at Home ♡
I personally don’t think a cinema date is as romantic as it may be depicted in films. There’s going to be a lot of shushing, silence or only sounds of munching popcorn. If I paid money to watch this film, I kinda don’t want you to talk over it, sorry bud!
Fear not! If the movie was set in the comfort of my own home, then I have all the freedom to do whatever I like! Whether its more bathroom breaks or wrapped in cosier blankets, the sky is the limit with what you can do. A movie night at home can really set the mood for no costs at all (besides from your favourite chocolates, that is!).
Put on your favourite rom-com for a romantic date or get your tissues ready with a heart-wrenching film.
♡ Playing Board Games ♡
Who doesn’t love an old-fashion board game night? Dust off that Charades box and delve into the exhilarating realm of board games. Whether you’re playing with 1 or 100 people, there’s always a board/card game that will surely entertain.
They’re not only there for the fun factor but some games let you learn more about the other person, it’s a great way to get to know each other without feeling awkward. Board games are a must, just don’t get too riled up in Monopoly!
♡ Relaxing Sunset Date ♡
On a hot summers day, there’s nothing more refreshing than a cool drink or ice-cream to take off the heat. Grab a cone with a date or friend then take a stroll around the area, or find a good spot to get lost in the dreamy sunset.
Watching the sunset is one of the most romantic date ideas handed to you for free. Don’t overlook how fulfilling just watching the sunset can be, whether from your front yard or the beach, the sunset will be romantic no matter where you are as long as you are with the right company.
Let us know your favourite date ideas! Have you done anything or gone anywhere unique for a low cost? We’d love to know.
